Well, this week was a bit difficult, first Elder Armstrong got
transfered to a place much hotter than Tuxtla, but its okay, because I
have my new companion! Elder Madueño, hes from the same area of Elder
Brass, in Sinaloa and he was once a Jovah Witness, its funny, because
he says that witnesses are easy to convert, but the hard part is just
contacting them, we do our best not to contend with any religion,
because in the scriptures it says that, "the spirit of contention is
not of God" it is important that we dont contend with scriptures,
because all the people are going to do is get angry or they are going
to have other scriptures to battle with, the way to help some one that
is lost is help them, by inviting them to activities, doing service
for them, pray for them, be a friend, they may be hard hearted, but
everyone can change, we just need patience and Love.
Our investigators are pretty much the same the new investigators
that we have contacted, I cant really say anything about them yet,
because we have only taught them once, so we will see if they
progress, I know if we are continuely obedient they will progress
without a doubt, the works of obedience is very hard and tiring, but
once we see the progress of our work, we know that I is worth it and
we help others follow. José is slowly slipping away we have to help
him understand baptism and the Sabbath day, just one day he will be
like, "I want to be baptized" and then I will be jumping up and down
for joy! I love baptisms! Cindy and Antonio, I think that Cindy is
reading and praying every day, but every time we pass by to teach her
mother and brother she is off doing her own thing and listening kind
of, we have invited her to sit down, but she says no I am good. Her
mother and brother are very good they both love reading and
understanding what the scripture is saying and they will progress with
this desire.
Are you serious!?!? Theres two weddings and I cant go to either one!
Can you atleast send me some cake and a ton of pictures?!?!?! Its soo
crazy how Brayden is getting married so soon, we had plans to chill
and go to college and be bros., but then Cristy had to step in... I
know she is soo cool and all, but we had a bro code. I dont like
growing up.. Everything changes to much and nothing stays the same.
Well I guess I will just enjoy my vacation here in Chiapas! haha! I
going to have baptisms and you guys are going to eat cake! I need to
go, but dont forget to send pictures of everything! Okay?!?! I cant
send pictures right now, because this computer is on level 5 lock down
mode, every time I try to send pictures it says,"error cant acess for
security reasons" so next week I will send them! LOOOVE YOU!!!

43rd Email Home April 13, 2015
In our area, we have close baptisms, everytime the investigator goes
to church for 3 or 4 times they dont want anymore and we ask them, do
you have any questions? and they usually say no, but really they have
problems and a lot of questions that they dont want to ask and they
feel like they aren't getting any where, because they aren't reading
and praying to find out if all we teach is true, then they find a
different church that does everything for them, they read for them,
they pray for them, they share their understanding of the Bible and
the people believe that this is how Jesus ran his church, but we know
that this life isn't easy, we need to study, ponder, and pray and God
will reveal unto us an answer and this is our testimony that no one
can tell us other wise, because it is of God.
Jose Maria isn't progessing anymore, we came to the point of the
Sabbath day and baptism, he mentions that the Bible says the Sabbath
day is on Saturday, because it really does say its on Saturday, but we
explained that when Jesus Christ died he came back to his Apostles and
changed the day to Sunday in rememberence of his resurrection and when
we explained this he didnt accept it, I believe he thought that we
didnt read the Bible before, then another day he said he couldnt get
baptized twice and so I believe, we'll be praying and fasting a lot
for him to have the Holy Ghost testify to him that what we are
teaching is true. Cindy is great, but she doesnt read, but she started
to pray, but before she was like I can't change, because I was born
into the world with no religion of any type so she feels separated
from God, but we will help her stay on this path!
Wow! I hope I can meet the Larsons if I am not in a different area
far away, it would be an awesome experience to meet them! Luck! you
guys went to the zoo with the fam the zoo here is cool, but I got a
feeling I am going to get bored of it after going 2 more times, the
zoo is very big, but I have seen almost all the animals, but we'll see
how the next trip comes out. I hope everything goes good with your new
job and that you have tons of fun! I love you all for your support and

Thank you so much for praying for them, they really need the help. We are trying our best to change our teaching strategy now, we have seen that the General Authorities always speak very directly to everyone, they tell us the truth and the truth hurts some times, but we know that we need to make a change in our lifes, and then they tell us how we can improve our lives and change for the better. This is an effective tactic of teaching and we are going to have more people feel the spirit and also progressing and then we will have more pictures of baptisms! Woot!
General Conference was soo awesome! I want more; its very sad that we have to wait another 6 months for Conference, but this will give us time to prepare, I just want to say that our investigator José Maria told us that he was going to wait out by a market for a ride for General Conference and so we were looking for him, but we couldnt see him so, we just figured that he forgot, because hes like 72 years old, so as we were walking for his house, we hear a whistle and so we turn around and we FOUND HIM! well he found us. He was sitting and waiting for us and I know that he will get baptized, for the things that he is doing. Then we were walking down another street and for more investigators and we see one of our investigators walking across the street all ready to leave her name is Cindy and she didnt want to go to church anymore, but was willing to hear more about the church and the Gospel, then we went to check to see what was going on and Cindy and her brother Antonio were both ready to go to Conference and I was soo excited and a bit confused, but I guess God works in mysterious was and thats okay with me! Lol.
Thats so great that the family could have a get together. That was there when I was there? WoW! that turkey is old! At least it tasted good and the family had a good time, thats the most important part! The language is lightening up, I have been told by a lot of people that I speak so clearly, the only thing is I dont have too many words memorized, but thats okay I have a while to learn the words.
Thanks for sending my patriarchal blessing I need it! Love you and everyone else sooooooooooooo much!
